Gas shortages!

Thought of sharing this very interesting information with you from Property24

According Property24 the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) has warned that some suppliers are ripping-off consumers by over-charging them filling liquefied petroleum gas bottles that are used mainly for heating and cooking purposes.

Consumers when handing over your gas bottles to be refilled ask the supplier to weigh it first and then after filling up to weigh it again, so they can determine what the actual weight of the gas you have to pay for.

Johannesburgand Pretoria residents have been battling with widespread gas shortages during the past month allegedly because Salsol had closed one of its plants for maintenace several weeks ago, but no need to be concerned because the first consignment is expected to arrive in the country by the end  of the month.

The reason for the high demand for gas was prompted by particularly cold weather in the past few weeks and exacerbated by the steep hike in the electricity price that makes gas heaters an attractive alternative compared with electric heaters.
